The throat band is mainly divided into three types: British, American and German, as well as other derivative products such as tube bundle and European standard throat band. The following is a detailed description of these three kinds of throat:
American throat band: also known as the clamp, the most widely used, more general. It is divided into small American throat hoop and large American throat hoop, with bandwidth of 12.7mm and 14.2mm respectively. The American throat hoop adopts the through-hole technology, which has the characteristics of wide application range, torsion resistance and pressure resistance, balanced torsion torque, firm and tight locking, and large adjustment range. It is suitable for fasteners connected by soft and hard pipes of more than 30mm, and has a beautiful appearance after assembly. Worm friction is small, suitable for high-end models, holding pole equipment, steel pipe and hose or anti-corrosion material parts connection. But below the worm of the American throat hoop is a dead angle, which is prone to leakage.
German throat hoop: The main difference with American throat hoop is that German throat hoop is non-perforated and adopts non-perforated and flanging design, which can protect the surface of the hose from damage. The German-style throat clamp is characterized by its balanced torque and uniform pressure, which can provide a stable and safe fastening effect. The disadvantage is that, like the American throat band, its dead angle is located under the worm, which is prone to leakage. German throat hoops are mostly used for hose connections in automobiles, home appliances, mining, industry, maritime and other fields.
British throat clamp: its free torque and overall torque are relatively high, smooth edges will not damage the hose, can be reused, and the fastening strength is high, the price is cheap. It is widely used in automobile, mining, forklift, ship, locomotive, petroleum, chemical, agricultural, pharmaceutical, tractor and other fields.
